The Tumi is a type of ceremonial knife used in Ancient Peru by the Moche, Chimú and Inca cultures. It is usually formed by a single metal piece. The handle of a tumi has a rectangular or trapezoidal shape. Although its length is variable, it always exceeds the width of a hand. At one end of the handle is the characteristic mark of the tumis: a cutting blade in a semicircular shape (where the curved side is the one with the cutting edge and the straight side is perpendicular to the handle).
