The most obvious change that you’ll notice is the gloss Visual Carbon Fibre body that consists of 67 parts and takes a total of 1,000 hours to produce. The Carbon Theme is just one of five themes that are being created by McLaren Special Operations and gains its inspiration from the Solar Yellow and Laurel Green colouring that was seen on Ayrton Senna’s helmet.

Contrasting to the gloss black of the Carbon Fibre, Solar Yellow can be found on the sill exteriors, rear wing and front active aero blades. Completing the livery of the legendary helmet, MSO have also opted for Laurel Green brake calipers.

The Aryton Senna inspired colour scheme continues on the inside of the vehicle thanks a Laurel Green door gas strut and contrasting stitching on the Carbon Black Alcantara trim on the seats, door inners and facia.

Adding an element of Solar Yellow to the interior, the steering wheel has been finished with a similar yellow hue.

Both of the Carbon Black Alcantara seats have been finished with a Senna ‘S’ on the headrests that mimics the detail seen on the rear wing’s end plates. McLaren are very proud of the matt-finished logo on the rear wing as it has required a highly specialised process in order to embed the logo on the gloss carbon fibre panel.

Excitingly, MSO have also opted to equip the Carbon Theme Senna with an all-new Carbon Fibre wheel option. A future dealer-fitted option, the 7-spoke Hybrid Carbon Fibre wheels are up to 10 per cent lighter than the standard-fit Senna wheels and therefore add to the car’s speed and ability on both track and road.
