Here is another skin of a Pan Am Boeing 747-121. This skin is Clipper Juan T. Trippe. This was the 2nd 747 built and the third plane to roll off the 747 production line. Originally named Clipper America, it first flew in 1969 and was involved in Pan Am Flight 845.

It was renamed Clipper Sea Lark , and then Clipper Juan T. Trippe in honor of the airline's founder. Until 1991, it remained with Pan Am.

The final resting place of the aircraft was in Namyangju, South Korea, where it served as a restaurant for some time, until it was closed down in 2009. The aircraft was finally scrapped in 2010.

I think it's rather sad that she met such a bad fate. She should have been restored and put on display!

@Kiryu yes indeed...this was one of the longest 747s in service with Pan Am...sad it was never restored. After the restaurant was closed down, it was left decaying...
