In Turkey, police have two different types of motorcycle units. The First one-Motosikletli Polis(Motorcycle police units) also knows as Yunuslar or Yunus Polisi(Dolphins a refer to their logo in which is shown a dolphin with a white police helmet) are units responsive for general public safety and crime prevention. They are also used as fast deploy police force on motorbikes. The unit is created in 1993 in metropolis Istanbul, due to the rising criminal activity.
