The Dassault Rafale is a French twin-engined delta-wing agile multi-role fighter aircraft designed and built by Dassault Aviation.
The Rafale was brought in as the replacement for the Mirage 2000-5 that was originally a competitor for the tender, after the
production lines for the Mirage closed down, as well as the entry of much more advanced aircraft into the competition.
